INFINITO
Electronic textures are revealed in original compositions and reinterpretations of Brazilian music classics, in a unique interweaving of lyrical and contemplative sounds.
Released in 2015, INFINITO is one of the most emblematic works of the Brazilian composer, keyboardist, and producer Corciolli, an internationally recognized artist who, in this album, presents for the first time exclusive reinterpretations of four masterpieces of Brazilian song: “A Noite do Meu Bem” (Dolores Duran); “Melodia Sentimental” (Heitor Villa-Lobos); “Se Todos Fossem Iguais a Você” (Antonio Carlos Jobim, Vinicius de Moraes); and “Eu Sonhei que Tu Estavas Tão Linda” (Lamartine Babo, Francisco Mattoso).
The album is complemented by ten more original, previously unreleased tracks, where piano and synthesizers take center stage in the melodies alongside violin, saxophone, and soprano voice. In ethereal arrangements that delicately and profoundly expand the soundscape, each track is constructed as an inner journey—minimalist, sensitive, and spiritual—reaffirming the introspective and transcendent signature of Corciolli‘s music. In an album with many special moments, “Lacrimæ” stands out, featuring Leonardo Padovani on the Er-hu (a kind of traditional Chinese violin with two strings), bringing an ancestral ethnic sound combined with futuristic ambient sounds.
